What is capital city stadium?

Capital City Stadium was a minor league baseball stadium located in Columbia, South Carolina. It opened in 1927 and served as the home of various minor league teams throughout its history, including the Columbia Reds, Mets, Bombers, and Capital City Bombers. The stadium also hosted college and high school baseball games, as well as other events like concerts. With a capacity of 6,500, Capital City Stadium was known for its historic charm and intimate atmosphere. However, the stadium fell into disrepair in the early 2000s and was closed in 2014. Today, the site is being redeveloped into a mixed-use complex called BullStreet District, which will include new retail, residential, and office space.
